The Trend that is the Polaroid Camera

Ah, the polaroid camera. It's been around for years, and recently, newer models have been making a comeback, and I am all for it.
I had a friend in high school who had one, and she took it on our trip to Disney World. I became her photographer when we met the princesses, and I was amazed at how the pictures turned out to be so magical.
My first investment into the world of polaroids was a Prynt case, which I still have and use to this very day, about a year and a half ago. It was this handy attachment you plugged into your iPhone, and when you installed the app to go with it, you could print any picture from your camera roll onto tiny, cute photo paper. It was incredibly easy to use and I quickly had dozens of pictures of my friends and me! But inside my soul was a yearning to get an actual polaroid camera, and I couldn't make that voice shut up.
So this week, I splurged my serving money on a brand new Instax Mini 9 polaroid camera, and a pack of 20 photo paper, and set out to photograph the world.
The first picture I took was, obviously, of my dog.
Lately, I have noticed that I am not the only one giving into the urge to capture the moment. Both of my younger sisters already had one (that I secretly envied), and a handful of the girls in my sorority sported one when we had bid day and philanthropy events.
It was only a matter of time before I joined the club, right?
My mother is convinced I wasted my money, but we will prove her wrong! Worst comes to worst, I can never have too many pictures of my pit bull.
xoxo, Madison
