My Holiday Wishlist

The holidays are quickly approaching, and I for one have had my Christmas list for a few weeks now! Now that Thanksgiving is over, I find it the perfect time to share with yinz my holiday wishlist!

This is my favorite time of the year (if only it was a little warmer though!). There's always so much to do, and I love hanging out with my family and friends from home. But since I'm still in school for two more weeks, this is the most festive I'll be for awhile.

I have some really cool posts coming up for the holiday season, but until then, allow me to give you a peek into my life at the moment, as you read my Christmas wish list!

Happy Holidays!

Red Booties

Normally, I tend to shy away from heels and booties that aren't a neutral color, because I felt like I couldn't rock them as easily as I do a plain black pair. But I came across these the other day and I fell in love HARD. Like I've mentioned in previous posts, I find a lot of my shoes at Target, which is where these guys are from! (you can find them here) I have plans to pair them with business attire black pants or a black dress! As a journalist, I need a lot of professional clothes, and a lot of them are neutral colors with no patterns. So I'd love to see these shoes become part of my ensemble, as it would add a pop of color without being too overwhelming.

Alex and Ani Elf Bracelet

It's no secret that Elf is one of the most adorable and fun Christmas movies of all time (it's a close second favorite after Christmas Vacation for me!), and Alex and Ani has just released an Elf collection in time for the holidays! It features my personal number one, Smiling is my Favorite, and four others, but I think this one resonates with me the most, since I love to smile! Alex and Ani is a key jewelry staple for me, and I love to put on several bracelets at a time. And did you know that Alex and Ani was created by an Alpha Xi Delta? Sisters gotta stick together.

Fluffy Socks

Remember when you used to hate getting socks as Christmas gifts? I love love LOVE fluffy and cozy socks this time of year because I am almost always cold! Target and American Eagle/Aerie both have great options for knit socks, but Old Navy is still doing their Black Friday sale, and offers some great deals on their socks! They come in a variety of designs and colors and they're super soft and warm!

Incredibles 2, Coco, and Christopher Robin

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a HUGE Disney/Pixar fan! This needs no further explanation.

Yoga Mat

Remember when I wrote a post about doing pilates? I mentioned that the specific class I was taking was a pilates/yoga hybrid class, and I love it so much! I don't have a yoga mat of my own though, which I curse at myself for every time I walk into the class. We all know how dirty gyms can be, but having used to work at the gym, I KNOW how many people don't clean their equipment after using it! This yoga mat is from Lululemon, and I love the detailing on it. For a long time, I was convinced I was going to move to LA, and I still would love to, so the city is a perfect addition to the mat! They have other cities, too, such as Chicago and San Francisco, so you can find one that suits you better if you'd like. I also love that it's black, because yoga mats can get dirty pretty easily.

Milky Jelly Cleanser

I've been a fan of Glossier products for a few months now, and I love everything they have to offer! I plan to go more in depth with some of my favorite products in a future blog post soon, so I won't bombard you just yet. I will say that this cleanser is one of the best I've ever tried, and it's on my list because I'm all out. :( You can get this cleanser in two different sizes (like pictured!). It's also won the 2015 Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards and the 2016 Allure Best of Beauty! I personally am wishing for the bigger bottle, but the smaller one is perfect for traveling!

The Game of Life: Quarter Life Crisis Edition

I was at Target when I saw this bad boy for the first time! Game night is an annual occurance in my apartment, and we typically love the games that are different and weird. We have a card game called Exploding Kittens that we love! Anyway, now that Hasbro is coming out with fun parody games, it's a fun twist on some classics! (Maybe you've seen the commercials for the bankrupt edition of Monopoly?) This version of Life is made for the millenials like myself, who are broke students, or are struggling to pay off their debts. Call me crazy, but wouldn't this just be SO MUCH FUN to play? Just the description is too much to handle: "Start with soul-crushing debt!" Relatable!

I wanted to create a fun post to get everybody excited and in the spirit for the upcoming holidays! Hopefully this gives you a few ideas for your own wish lists! Let me know what you guys want for this holiday season!

xoxo, Madison
